TMA 4~ Group Working. My chosen specialist subject
was Cyberspace
This module was concentrating on group working and the different concepts of Cyborgs in today's society. As a group we needed to design an overview page. Each of us, within the group, needed to chose a specialist subject from: Bionics ~ Cyberpunks ~ Cyberspace ~ Cyborgs in Groups
Cyborg Perspectives ~ Identities ~ Robotics Then we each wrote about our specialist subjects. As part of the TMA we had to critically review the specialist pages of two other people within our group. We then amended our specialist pages accordingly and finally produced a website consisting of the overview page and the individual specialist pages. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The Introduction from my report Cyberspace is a place visited by humans using today's technology? Humans merge with online computers or other technologies, such as Virtual Reality helmets and gloves and become Cyborgs in Cyberspace. Cyberspace is not a physical place it exists in our imagination, but it feels real to the participants. In Cyberspace we play games with other Cyborgs, we use Chatrooms, enter Virtual Worlds, Virtual Reality and participate in Virtual Communities there. The Conclusion from my report You can become stronger, faster, magical even invincible being whoever you want to be. Experiment with your personality, your thoughts and ideas. Even be your true self without inhibitions and without the fear of rejection or prejudice suffered in the real world. You can experience thrills and danger without suffering pain and you can experiment and learn without fatal consequences. You can explore every corner of the real world and interact with people all over that world by become a Cyborg in Cyberspace.
