The Client Side of Application Development (TT281)

I originally did this course in October 2003 alongside TT282. I managed all three CMAs but just couldn't find the time to do the ECA.

OK having another go in the October 2004 presentation, bear with me I just gotta get a small matter of M301 exam out the way on the 14th October and then I can give this course my 100% attention.

Well I managed to not only complete it this time, I managed to submit the ECA 1 week early as I was going on holiday.

Not the best course I've done, I'm sure it could have been more interesting, maybe I was too busy with work and holiday arrangements to really get into this course, who knows. Working through the course material and doing the CMAs didn't really do it for me, but when I came to do the ECA that was when things really started to get more interesting and I felt that I was getting a handle on what this JavaScript and client side coding was suppose to be about. I would say though this is not a course to be recommended to non-programmers, some experience of a programming language and the logic of programming in some form before you embark on this course would save a lot of stress!

Some of the areas covered are: creating dynamic new windows, cookies and storing/retrieving data, form enhancements, form validation, maintenance, accessibility and usability, creating dynamic content on the fly and using images more efficiently and effectively.
